Hello there. I don’t even know who I’m announcing this to exactly, I guess it’s mainly myself as a way to make it more real, but I have decided that I’m in serious need of a break from Tumblr and so starting from tomorrow I will be deleting the app from my phone for awhile. I don’t know how long and knowing me I could change my mind in a heartbeat, but I really hope to be doing the right thing and that something good will come out of it.
I have met some truly special people on this app in the last few years and even more recently in the last few months or so, everybody I’ve interacted with has been nothing but wonderful to me, so I felt like I owed all of you a (temporary) fare thee well.
Amoeba Records added: Just wanted to let you know that we are not accepting any more orders through PayPal at this point. We are planning to release the Bijou Cafe LP for Record Store Day Black Friday in November, so folks will have an opportunity to buy it from their local record store then. Not to sound like the worst person you meet at college but I think a lot of people could benefit from learning a bit more about climate change instead of avoiding everything about it out of fear. Because when you know a bit more about what's actually going on it becomes less unknown less scary and you also realize that it's not as simple or dire as you think. Not to say that it isn't quite bad because it is but there's a lot of reason for hope. The world isn't about to end day after tomorrow style
ITS LITERALLY SO ANNOYING. to have this conversation over and over again "so what are you studying" "environmental science" ohhh wowoooowwwwww I could NEVER do that I'd get too stressed and depressed but I'm so glad some people are able to handle it" from the bottom of my heart. I understand where you're coming from. I appreciate the fear you feel and you're reacting to a very real very scary situation. but from the bottom of my heart you do not understand what studying environmental science entails. Again. Sorry I know this makes me sound like every insufferable college student. But like. Please
